Measured, modeled, and the line between them
Every claim NigeriaPowerData makes falls into one of two categories, and the platform states which. We publish what we measure and label what we model — the distinction is enforced in the product, not in a disclaimer.
Why this matters commercially
A platform that blurs measurement and estimation is unusable in a regulatory, investment or procurement context — because nothing it reports can be relied upon in a decision that must be defended.

Measured figures on NigeriaPowerData are drawn from the public reporting of the market's own institutions. Every figure carries its originating source and retrieval time at the point of use; these are the standing publications behind them.

Limits we state openly
- A public data platform does not replace official market settlement systems — its value is interpretation, not adjudication.
- Coverage and freshness are constrained by upstream publication behaviour; the platform surfaces those constraints rather than concealing them.
- Estimates are screening tools, labelled as such wherever they appear.
- Public data can show stress patterns but cannot reliably predict every collapse without full operational telemetry.
Stating limits is a commercial asset
Technical evaluators discount platforms that claim completeness. Explicit limits are what make the remaining claims credible.
